Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ERP Planning and Purchase professional to manage procurement and material planning operations using our ERP system. The ideal candidate will ensure timely availability of materials, optimize inventory levels, and streamline the purchasing process to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

ERP-Based Material Planning:

• Create and manage Material Requirement Planning (MRP) schedules through the ERP system.
• Forecast material needs based on sales orders, production plans, and historical data.
• Monitor stock levels and generate purchase requisitions automatically or manually within the ERP.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and avoid stockouts or overstocking.

Purchasing and Procurement (via ERP):

• Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) through the ERP system.
• Source suppliers and negotiate pricing, lead time, and terms using data-driven insights from ERP reports.
• Track and follow up on purchase orders, delivery schedules, and goods receipt within the ERP platform.
• Ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and audit requirements.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Maintain an updated supplier database and evaluate vendor performance using ERP-based reports.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or delivery timelines.
• Establish long-term supplier contracts and agreements, leveraging ERP data for strategic sourcing.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly procurement and inventory reports from the ERP system.
• Maintain audit trails of all planning and purchasing transactions.
• Provide inputs for budgeting and cost optimization initiatives using ERP insights.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in planning and procurement using ERP platforms.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel or ERP reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ERP certification or training (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM).
• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or production-based industry.
• Knowledge of lean inventory, JIT (Just-In-Time), or Kanban systems.
