Job Description:



  • As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Application Specialist, you will build and execute omni channel automations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • You will be a technical contact working closely with a digital strategist to map business needs to Marketing Cloud solutions and execute on the campaigns in Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Journey Builder.  
  • Provide strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, processes, and best practices in automation are needed for this position.  

Responsibilities vary, but may include various combinations of the following duties.

  • Configure, test and deploy marketing automation campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
  • Build out customer lifecycle journeys and email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud including automated and triggered campaigns.
  • Monitor technical performance of assets and test/troubleshoot.
  • Provide product and subject matter expertise to internal client teams.
  • Estimate effort required to implement proposed solutions.
  • Build and maintain solution related documentation.
  • Provide advanced technical systems support, including problem identification and resolution and integration of technical solutions.
  • Leads discussions with business partners to gather requirements for technical solutions and troubleshoots system related issues.
  • Works within objectives and instructions for use in designing, testing and documentation.
  • Identifies and works to automate tasks and processes with scripting and automation tools.
  • Meets the quality standards set forth by management.
  • Stays current with industry trends and technologies (e.g. certifications, industry groups, etc.).
  • Ensure availability when necessary for off-shift and weekend support functions.
  • Incorporates enterprise security standards into functional area.
  • Architects and designs technical solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department.  Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data.  Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
  • Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment.


  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, technical guidance, mentor team members and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate future direction with leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant business processes and their relationship to systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working ability to independently manage multiple complex tasks and participate on multiple projects.
  • Strong ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop technical systems strategy for core business procedures and operations.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and recommend process changes that improve the overall implementation, maintenance and support of applications and/or technical infrastructure.
  • Fully knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems and cross platform infrastructure components. Ability to provide training on these topics for others.
  • Demonstrated ability to do performance tuning of complex application architecture


  • A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of enterprise technology experience is recommended.
  • Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
  • Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification 
  • Salesforce Sales and/or Service Cloud development experience
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
