Job description:-

The Contract Microsoft SQL DBA will work on-site and be responsible for routine database tasks. IE: Database restores, installation and configuration based on provided set of standards. Opportunities exist to discuss improvements to existing methods in a collaborative team environment.

DUTIES:

Management of SQL databases in non-production and production environments.
Able to write/manage scripts in TSQL, PowerShell, DOS batch
Ability to work within the confines of a ticketing system.
Able to assist on any database issues regarding application deployments/changes/functionality in real time environments.
Support DevOps related database pipelines and Cloud database initiatives
Resolve database integrity, performance, blocking, connectivity, and high availability issues.
Database backup/recovery and capacity monitoring.

REQUIREMENTS

3 plus years of experience in SQL database administration.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022
Experience with other database RDBMs for example Postgres, Redis, Mongo
Experience in HA/Failover technologies
Capacity to discuss and implement operational automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible or other scripting languages.
Experience with DevOps and Cloud Platforms.
Excellent customer support and problem-solving skills.
Strong focus on achieving goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
