Role and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

8+ or more years of experience in SQL database development.

Hands-on experience with SQL Job Scheduler.

Exposure to .NET applications.

Familiarity with market data systems or pricing curve data (highly desirable).

Experience with Hazelcast or similar caching software.

Knowledge of Drools (nice to have).

Experience with messaging systems like Kafka.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Developer with strong database programming expertise to join our financial services client in New York City. This long-term contract role will place you on a market data technology team responsible for managing and enhancing a homegrown system that caches market and pricing curve data. This system delivers real-time data to a diverse set of users and plays a critical role in the organization’s operations.

As a member of the team, you will:

Develop and optimize SQL scripts to support the system’s functionality.

Enhance existing applications to improve performance and scalability.

Provide Level 3 support to resolve technical issues and ensure system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and fulfill business requirements.

Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.

Work with the SQL Job Scheduler to manage automated processes.

Support .NET applications that interact with the database.

Enhance the caching system using tools like Hazelcast or similar technologies.

Debug, diagnose, and resolve issues as part of Level 3 support.
